Yes, I use sandstone masonary paint, no odour and dries quick, and leaves a nice finishhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

The famous Janssen brothers of Arendonk would never paint the inside of their lofts, claiming that the paint affected the humidity within the loft as a result of the non-absorbtion of moisture by the wooden walls after being painted !

My garage internal walls were bare concrete render, made place very dark, and I'm sure it absorbed condensation moisture as it changed colour in wet weather. Used up all emulsion paint left-over from house painting, so its a multi-coloured job. Aviary back wall was painted white, think that was stone paint?

Internal woodwork was also emulsioned, but now prefer to leave it unpainted , so there's a mix in there.

Out of pure laziness the inside of my racing loft is bare wood. I do like the fresh look a coat of paint gives to the loft, ma Da done what used to be our only loft every year, but i've never put a lick on the new loft i built 3 years ago.

First loft i had when i started as a boy in wamphray in 1972 was built from railway sleepers

cut into 3/4 inch planks produced winners every year nothing could live in there that could harm

the birds great smell from the creosote better still it only cost a fiver and that was for

cutting the sleepers :D:D
