Asked same question couple years back after viewing probably same dvd - flight affected in some strange way first few days after birds have been locked up all winter - just another mainland Europe affliction?

Jimmy's right magnesium deficiency,looking through my old tips book (1987 season)It says loss of legs caused by lack of magnesium,1 tbl.spoon of epsom salts per pint of water,mix with honey so birds will drink it,if not give it by syringe.(wouldn't like to take that much epsom salts myself)

Thanks for the replys lads ,I'm stuck on a oil rig off Africa other than watching pigeon videos iv only got a lanner falcon hunting around for entertainment.
