hotrod Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Are you telling me it's true? It's not based on Fed performances only, so thats immaterial. The criteria has already been clarified in an earlier post. Not bad though for a small back garden fancier. Anyway, it's not about my performances, there are other top flyers in Central Fed. Thanks anyway.sorry colin but the way i work is to try and get facts before i post ,i can understand your frustration after a great year u automatically think you will win this and that ,but a certain fancier keeps getting fantastic results year after year and he keeps getting fancier of the year the way to stop it happening is beat him . ps its only my opinion im not taking sides here. i posted earlier, what was won by the winner ? and no one posted it up so i made a phone call to find out . still a great season and well done, hope u do better next year and win it on merit .yours stuart mullan
Roundo Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 All fanciers are considered you were also considered this year along with others you were also considered last year the three i know that were forwarded last year was D Jamieson east/c who was fancier of the year and rightly so with the performances he put up J McNeill and yourself. as for topping the federation 10 times that would be a miracle for someone to do this but as you said this could happen but all performaces will be considered i know fanciers that have topped our federation 5 or six times in a year and not won fancier of the year and dont complain about there faces fitting and being in a gang etc Sorry, I missed your last two comments. We all know that in life if your face fits it can help you big time, pigeons included. As for 'in a gang', check back the posts, I wasn't the member that originally made this statement.
Roundo Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 sorry colin but the way i work is to try and get facts before i post ,i can understand your frustration after a great year u automatically think you will win this and that ,but a certain fancier keeps getting fantastic results year after year and he keeps getting fancier of the year the way to stop it happening is beat him . ps its only my opinion im not taking sides here. i posted earlier, what was won by the winner ? and no one posted it up so i made a phone call to find out . still a great season and well done, hope u do better next year and win it on merit .yours stuart mullan Stuart, The only frustration I had was not knowing the criteria for judging the fancier of the year, it seemed to be a secret, as it was asked at the last AGM.I didn't for one single minute think I was automatically going to win it....not something I've even hinted on, not now or even in the past.Don't think that statement was appropriate Stuart. I appreciate it's only your opinion. All the best to you for next season. Cheers.
Jolly Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 My mistake, it was only the 3 times, still outstanding. Now that we all know that it's judged over Federation & National racing makes matters much clearer. Some of us don't have enough birds to compete the way some fanciers do.....but that's up to the individual. How would it be if a fancier tops the Fed 10 weeks on the trot, but doesn't compete with the National, does that mean he doesn't stand a chance in getting fancier of the year?It could happen....... Colin. colin I have asked and been told If it had only been fed racing you wouldnt have won it either sorry there were about two other people in front of you so it wasnt a case of if your face fits points or averages seem to be the order of the day jolly
REDROCKET Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 some thread this cant wait till my partnership is a contender for fancier's of the year never mind winning it roll on 2011 lol.

Perhaps a name or even a picture would help, as I've already been called a 'faceless wonder'......fantastic!!!!! Why would you ask such a question? but it's really nice of you to care so much. I did clearly state in previous posts that this isn't about my performances, it has always been about the criteria, nothing else. Hope that makes things a bit clearer Colin.
