hotrod Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 I have the sofits and facias round our house done in black, or it might be called ebony. I did them 6 year ago and they are still good for another couple. You apply 1 coat of Butinox no 3 which is oil based folowed by 2 coats of no 2 which is water based. Not cheap but lasts better than anything. I got mine from the local hardware shop. AL.good loft aly and good luck this year with your new club.ALL YOU BOYS OUT THERE THINK YOUR IN A BAD BIT, YOUR IN HEAVEN COMPARED TO THIS GUY.by the way aly i find it strange that you put on oil base first then two coats of water based ,surely the water based stuff would wash off quickly especialy with the weather we get on the west coast mate.

I know what you mean Stuart about the oil based first. My mate is a painter and told me to use the system though. Best thing I have ever used. As I said 6 years on the house and still looks good for a couple more. Al.
