When you say you treated them just like the cocks what do you mean? I race my cocks to an open box, do you lock yours up?, if not how do you stop the hens pairing, Very interested by any comments thanks ;)

ive got a slopping floor it deters them from pairing up

no big secret but i paired the hens to me to get them to not pair together , also dont over feed them as they'll start to look at each other , and i fly them to v perches :) never had any pair up yet other method is to put balls on floor only time balls are out is when feeding and watering cleaning ;)

so do you race them the same as the cocks? are they fed different do you show them .cocks etc

treated and fed same as cocks never shown before race unless hen shows she wants in cocks loft hens in different loft from cocks and both trap into same loft on saturdays when cocks training hens are allowed after exercise to trap into cocks loft then taken away

We do it very similar except we feed hens differently to the cocks ie one big meal a day after excersise they only go out once per day in the morning in our case,the cocks go out in the evening again once a day but they have food in front of them all the time in pots in the boxes.
