Guest bakes Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 looks like hawk attack to me is it missing tail feathers or any flight feathers
Guest IB Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I'd say it was a typical attack, with the bird pinned to the ground and the hawk stripping flesh from it. Bird has had a lucky escape.
REDCHEQHEN Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I see where you are coming from with a wire injury - as it looks really 'straight across' Whatever has done the damage - he has been extremely lucky to have survived
OLDYELLOW Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Wire would be underneath has to be bop
REDCHEQHEN Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Wire would be underneath has to be bop Tell that to the red hen I've got - who has a bruise across the back of her neck and both wings - in a straight line - she has hit wires - don't know how she's done it - but it is possible she has only started flying again in the last 2 weeks, as she wasn't able to at all for a month
