Guest southern and mason Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 hi all if am the only member in my club who wants ets can a get it or can the club stop me :-/
fred smyth Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 if your fed allow them cant see how the club can stop you mind u they might vote to ban them ,, and u cant mark or assign your own birds so you need them to do that for you ,
Guest southern and mason Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 thats wot they said they wud vote that a cant use it
Guest peter.j Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 i always thought if two members want it the club cant stop them as for one member im not sure..pete
Guest Davy Fleming Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 As I say mate you need to go to your union and see what's in there rules first as don't think there will be anything about 1 or 2 members in it been able to decide
mealybug Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 As long as you have got two other members willing to be ETS officials and mark your pigeons they can't stop you using it.
waltzer Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 i no that when we got ets the club said that they wanted nothing to do with it but when we spoke to the nehu and unc we were told it was a past clock and it was ok to use. if the club refused us then all we had to do is phone the unc and the rest of the birds would not be picked up in the club and if they said they did not no how to set it, the clock committee had to make them self's avalable to learn it as they do with all new clocks when we told the club they could be band from flying they changed there tune so all ok now
TOMMY R Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 NEHU RULE ETS IS AN APPROVED CLOCKING SYSTEM SO YOUR CLUB CAN NOT REFUSE YOU FROM USING IT . YOU STILL NEED TO FOLLOW NORMAL CLOCK RULES AND MARKING RULES HELP IS AVAILABLE FROM OTHER NEHU MEMBERS AS TO ASSIGNING AND MARKING BIRDS .IF NEED ANY HELP CONTACT ME I,M THE TYNE/DERWENT SECRETARY
pjc Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 can not be refused but there must be club members prepared to opporate the system and if you are the only ETS member you may need to supply your club with the club equiptment required. If there are no members prepared to opporate it then you will be unable to use ETS and nobody can force the club to accept it and opporate it!
Guest spin cycle Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 i don't want to 'hijack' this thread.....but i have an ets question. as the birds are marked is the clock automatically set..eliminating the seperate operation of clocksetting? and what about clock strike ? if a race goes into a 2nd day does the ets clock have to be struck the first night. thanks

abbeypap Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 hi all if am the only member in my club who wants ets can a get it or can the club stop me :-/ We had the same problem with our club. We still set up and used it but the pigeons had to have race rubbers and we had to set a clock as well. Come the young birds though enough people had been watching and saw how easy it was and started learning about the club system and the fanciers G2 clock. There are now quite a few members using ets and someothers setting up there lofts for next years racing.
