Hi all how many of you paint your nestboxes just made some ,if this been put up before sorry about that

Dont paint mine, as like to get the blow torch on them once a month :-)

I disinfect, one day with Jay's fluid let that soak in, then blow torch and paint, My boxes are made of plywood not chipboard.

hi water based stain no oil or led to harm the birds dryes in minutes

best stuff is the paint they use for putting lines on football parks and gives of no fumes and dries quick

The white paint is only made of lime as i was a groundsman did lots of marking out when i was working for Leeds Rhinos.

mix loft white with water to make thick paint dries quick colombine blanco works well

I don't paint mine, prefer to have them bare so I can soak them with Jeyes fluid if ever needed. They are made of of external plywood but would not recommend for MDF. I still have some Duramitex left that I spray in any nooks and crannies but god it stinks
