Guest gareth Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Hi all, I know nothing about racing birds but have collected a dead pigeon from the middle of the road at 4pm this afternoon. It is in beautiful condition and has absolutely no signs to cause of death. Its as though it just dropped from the sky. Incidentally, it was during a lightning storm. Maybe this was a contributing factor. I have the ring number and can provide but wasn't sure if it was the done thing to post such messages. I have reported this loss on the RPRA website but then found this site through google. Would I be best off just leaving it in the hands of the RPRA now? Cheers
PATTY BHOY Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 post the ring number m8,that way the owner can be contacted.

Guest gareth Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Just noticed that the site is international! I am located in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. And within the time it took to write this and get the verification code wrong I have replies. The code is SU10 NW 5023 and it has a plain green plastic ring on the other leg. It really is a shame, beautiful bird.
