whats your thoughts on the k index factor/presto warnings having an effect on a pigeons homing instinct? if im right we had a presto warning within the last few days and we all know how bad returns have been in the yb races this weekend kev

I think it has no bearing as it aimed at astronauts and relates to space weather. Thats what our magnetic field is for, it protect's the earth and its atmosphere from the sun's solar storms (space weather). These storms may have an affect on our weather, but again that is what 'earth' weather reporting is for, and from that we knew there would be rain on Saturday. We also knew it would clear, but not precisely when. Some basketed and liberated on Saturday and paid the price; others delayed libs till Sunday, when the weather was forecast to be better, and seemed to have had better races. It's more accurate forecasts / readings for 'earth' weather we need, in my opinion.
