Ian McKay Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Original post read We all know lib line cost to us are 60p a minute but does anyone know how much of that 60p is payed back to organisations.Neil Sorry Neil 24 post later and you have not got an answer Can anyone answer this question
Ian McKay Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Thats exactly my point! Why keep things from the members . This thread asked earlier how much money goes back to the fed? Nobody seems to know. I ring about 12/15 fanciers every week when I know the birds are up. Nobody is happy with the libline sevice , costs, update frequency etc..My offer is for the fanciers who gets fed up ringing every hour. Just leave it to me and I TEXT them. not a bad offer for 40pence a week(based on 25races) Regards TENNY It certainly is a good offer that I do not dispute but why do official force this on members CheersIan
JohnQuinn Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Thought that earlier post would provoke some discussion I hate the bloody things, and get frustrated when the same message is still there after the stated update time, though to be fair it doesn't happen too often.I think there are wee networks of fanciers all over the place keeping each other informed of lib times and i would encourage that as it creates a camaraderie between fanciers often from different clubs as Alf pointed out earlier. Onsite info also results in fanciers from different area's of the country wishing each other well, which in my opinion is what its all about,

Guest neil Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 still no real answer, but i suspect that its not a great amount in comparison to the cost to members,im against Tennys offer (as he phones me for free and sometimes he goes above and beyond not only for me but many others)because i understand that organisations need the revenue and as its information they provide then its fair for the gain to be to them.If a fed recieves £500 and have 2oo members then it only recieves £2.50 per member back while these members may be spending £50 a season, again i can only guess at return in relation to members but one thing i know is that every week the members are being fleecedNeilp.s. it costs us £1.24 to verify our 1st bird in our nationals via a lib line service
Ian McKay Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Yes Neil I have to agree and the bigger the organisation the more they want to fleece there members.Do they realy need the poor returns they get form Libline or is it just easy money same as verification just a scam to get free income Ian
