Getting Beyond A Joke Now.........

can anyone tell me how/why im getting emails sent to me from this site every time there is a new topic/reply posted on site........ive asked this question before but whatever i do to deactivate this doesnt work.

 

at the moment i have 1084 emails notifying me of new replies...

you go to your settings m8 and stop that, you must have it set to inform you,take the tick out the box "notify me by e-mail when i get a personal message"

 

 

 

this is what is on your settings

Personal Messenger Options

Disable my personal messenger

 

If you disable your personal messenger, you will not be able to start or participate in personal conversations.

Enabling this option will send an email notification of any new personal messages sent to you.

 

Notify me on the board when I get a new personal message

 

Enabling this option will alert you of a new personal message when you visit the board

 

 

Posting Settings

thanks fifer, but its not notifying me of pms sent to me it from the site informing me of either a new topic has been started or that a reply has been posted on the site.........

yes you should sort this out on your settings m8, top right of here you see your name click on the arrow you will see profile settings etc click on settings,

Alternatively, you should be able to block emails from certain sources, within your email page on your computer

found this and altered it, will see if it makes any difference............ thanks for the help.
