Guest mick bowler Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 So do you think that being a good flyer makes a man a good person?? I have been involved in an ongoing row about a certain fancier. It also involves a 3rd party. Now its my word against the "good flyers" word and the 3rd party has decided i am wrong and he is right because (in his words) "he is a better flyer than you"! He seems to of made the decision that the "good flyer" is a better person than me because of that reason, when i know for a fact that i am right 100% and i also hinted that if i was wrong they take me to court, but still waiting. I'm not sure he is even a better flyer, but as he races more than me i have accepted he has more recent results !! Sometimes i wonder why i bother in this sport.
kelly tom Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 MickIn reply to your question i dont think that being a good flyer makes a man a good person,in this life there are all sorts of people good and bad.you cnnot stereotype a person because he flys a good pigeon or he flys a bad pigeon.Just look at the amount of good people who helped you out when you had your cancer sale. The reason that you bother mate is in this game you meet more good than bad,and every once in while you come across a gem like me pmsl.
OLDYELLOW Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 let people beleive what they want , even if your right you wont alter them , just do the gentlemanly thing and agree to disagree

Guest grizzler Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 as it seems you have been pre judged,i would say stick two fingers up at em,and get on doing your own thing
Roland Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Mick, no of course not is the straight truth! However folks will spout for the name regardless. Like how they will clutter up the bar to buy the rich - and so very often a tight selfish git - their' drinks and leave the wifes etc. thirsty. The workers of the club so little thought of, and held in low regards whilst the 'Name' does nowt but bragg and spout inuendos and / or porkies. They will Clamber to give the the able, and haves, yet look down upon and side step the more genuine, and less fortunate. Just look at the cries of Jealousy etc. and 'Knocking the 'Good Fancier' as they rally endlessly to support a 'Name' if anyone dare ask a decent, yet need to be answered question ... This isvery scenario is why feather merchants sell culls and make money, and genuinely good birds are refused and frowned upon. Need one go on. No of course not! Yet after you have pains takingly proven your' case, after hardious and labusious labour they flippantly side step it and say off handed 'So What' or a other flippant needless codwallop retort and still will deny you any credit, or an word to say your were right! Yep the same all over these isles I'm afraid.
Guest bakes Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 as it seems you have been pre judged,i would say stick two fingers up at em,and get on doing your own thing i agree with paul i dont judge no one but when some one think there better than others i just bite my lip and walk away let it go over my head laugh at them ive come across many people like this not in pigeon raceing but in another sport i enjoy doing and it taste sweet when you wipe the floor with them showing them how its done it is intimadating when go up club and the rest is sending 10 to 20 and i turn up with 3 or 5 they look at you gone out but my moto they can send there mass numbers i keep to what im happy doing as long as you no your right that the main thing if no one else believes you as long as you no you doing your best and happy with achievement you are getting let them keep thinking there un touchable because one day it will drop together and when it does when you wiped the floor with them grin wink walk away belive me feel brillent atb bakes
