last monday i let my birds out as usual at 5pm,the only difference on this day was that i let my old and younsters out together.i came out of the loft after scratching out expecting to see them circling to land as usual, but not today, not a bird in sight.no need to worry i thought they will be back soon.at 9pm still not a bird in sight,at 10pm i closed the loft up with 34 birds missing.the next morning,i got up expecting to see them on the loft but still no birds.tues ended with me very depressed.on weds eve as i was inside the loft cleaning i heard a bump bump on the roof ,i looked out to see about 10 pigeons up there with the rest circling to land.i counted them 34 all there and upon handling a few of them i can find no visible signs of injury or tiredness,in fact they seem a lot better for their experience but a few things are puzzling me.where have they been for the last 2 days, how on earth did they manage to stay together.dont get me wrong i am over the moon that they are back, but its just so strange how it took place.

Sounds as if this one is right up Mulder & Scully's street

i know.i have had youngsters range for a few hours thats normal.but this has got me spooked.they have all been out yesterday and today with no problems at all.another fancier has suggested to me that they may have been out in the fields now that the crops are starting to come in but for 2 days.must have been one hell of a party. :)
