i read a lot about culling bop and a balance of nature. but predators cant survive without prey and our birds are helping to top up bop feeding.i cant see any org allowing a cull, if it is possible to lobby for falconers to remove young birds under licence to use for falconry. it wont solve all problems but would help a bit, male spars havent got what it takes to hold a pigeon and apart from spooking the birds they are harmless.the females are the problem and are the choice of falconers for their size.perhaps pigeon men and falconers should join and lobby together.falcons are a im affraid a lot bigger problem as both male and female take pigeons with ease and during the breeding season the intake of food needed to support the young, well we know the result.not got a falcon prob near me but spars are active and a female has had a couple of strikes but failed.try and vary the time you exercise your birds, and try and note what times bop are more active and avoid these if poss.after rainfall is a bad time to exercise birds as bop are very active at this time, they have hungry chicks to feed. some pigeon men have birds out all day this is ringing the dinner bell as you will be visited a couple of times a day as bop lean that a takeaway is open for them. best of luck guys

Get rid of them full stop.It isn't the one they try to kill it's the ones that kill themselves trying to get away.A pigeon doesn't know whether it's been attacked by a male or female,it just wants to get out of they way.At the mo. I have three with broken keels two with broken legs, through diving for cover.

im sorry to hear of your problem, but getting rid of the lot will never happen if you shot all bop in your area you would have passage birds move in to replace them, try and use some of my advice and move forward with it,i understand that at this time of year its difficult could you not toss young birds for a week or two and stop free flying.this may break the spars habit of visiting you.what time has the female attacked and avoid it.dont train in the window your birds are attacked and call the birds in straight away.with spars success breeds success so you need to try reduce her chances.last year i had a large female have a couple of goes at mine but without her killing one but the damage was done the birds would strike up at a low flying crow.when i let the birds out now i scan the sky to make sure none a quatering high up and carful in sunshine as they will use the glare of the sun to lanch attacks from high up,a pigeon takes some catching on level flight.hope your situation improves.

It's probably the sh** that's in the water that's why it doesn't want a drink. It has adrinking hole of it's own.
