Hi i have had a bird reported in Swansea area is there anybody that could help with this please. I live in Lancaster so a liberation for this bird would be ok anywere from Manchester to Yeovil or any thing along those lines. Thanks

hiya m8 chichi lives in/near swansea..member of this site.

 

swansea to manchester is about 200mls

 

i would say anyone going to mid wales from there would be a ok lib point for your bird and less pigeons to come against on its way.

I would need some one to collect it from this guys house and lib it for if possible nearer the line of flight for lancaster if that makes sence hopefully someone on here will be able to help. if not i will just have to send for it. its with a none fancier you see and i don't think he would want to keep hold of it for to long, although saying that he sounds like a nice bloke.

me and the missus will be at a wedding in Lampeter on saturday/sunday and will be driving north up the M6 to Preston sunday night so I could do it. BUT someone would have to get the bird to me at the hotel or very nearby cos there's no way the missus will let me drive around wales trying to find a stray bird!!!

you're welcome mate. I dont know where we're staying yet, the missus has the details. At a push I could try to get away to collect the bird but think swansea might just take me too far, so if someone could either PM me or you I'll try to sort something. If you can get a local fancier to collect it in the meantime until I get to wales so much the better!

Thanks Lee will speak to the guy tomorrow he says that he knows some fanciers in the area so may be able to bring it to your hotel fingers crossed. will PM you tomorrow with what i have been able to sort out.

what condition is the bird in , only asking as i had one reported 16 mile away from me by car from messac at the weekend by a non fancier at first i said could she liberate it in morning it should get back from there , then i changed my mind and went for it , im glad i did as the bird was totally flown down dehydrated and would never have made it

Hi Gail J thanks who is phil? is that PJC?. I have sent Leroy a PMref being able to collect the bird from his hotel, The guy that has it says that he might be going to Lampeter over the weekend but that is not a certainty if he does he will be able to drop it at his hotel but i haven't heard from him yet. i'm willing to try any way of getting the bird from Swansea.
