Guest triballofts Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 hi can young birds be flown on gerry plus only any comments thanks
greenlands Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 At the minute mine are on Gerry + and Vanrobeays deputative with a few tit bits like black rape and mixed budgie seed. They are reasonably well trained as our first race is only 44 mile.Going by the book Super Star should be added as you get nearer the weekend, but I can't see any reason why they couldn't be raced on Gerry + alone.Lindsay.

Guest triballofts Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 hi they have been on beans they were reared on beans and feed soild beans for the first month but had trouble getting them of the ground so had to change to a lighter mix tell a lie they still have a small amount of beans in the mix now 2 wid 2 youndbird no maze 1 barley and 1/2 beans thats in scoopes Graham
BIGK Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 why give them candy,s before they need them? nowt wrong with beans at the right time and right amount but maize is like candy to a baby, id hold off until tues/wed the week of the race, too much sugar can cause problems the youngbirds dont need! I find GP best used with the full feeding program as recommended by VL it appears to work!
