Guest Mike McGregor Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Found this bird on our doorstep, was there last night and in almost the exact same position this morning, so brought it inside incase a cat got it. No signs of physical injury but seems to be in a distressed state. Have given it water and some rice as per recommendation from http://www.pigeonbasics.com/lostbirds.php If anyone has information on this bird or it belongs to them please email me on me [at} durosity (dot] net
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 It is a National Flying Club ring - so likely to be from anywhere from the middle of the country down over if you have any glucose - can you put some in the water - if not - some sugar would be fine whereabouts are you Mike? As there may be a member on here who could collect the bird
Guest Mike McGregor Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Hi, I've not got any glucose, but i'll put some sugar in its water. I'm in a place called Melton Park, north of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the Gosforth area!
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 We've a few members on here from Newcastle - and a few who know plenty of fliers in Newcastle however - there is a club secretary in Gosforth and also a club in Gosforth - who can hopefully help J Plant - 0191 266 4967 is secretary of Gosforth Homing Society and N Feren is secretary of another club - but lives in Gosforth 07790 757497
Guest Guest Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Thanks for that! N Feren came to collect it and he'll be able to (hopefully) find the owner! thanks for your help
