hi all

 

i have had a pigeon i found in my garden with ring number wrcc 585 im new to the bird thing

but have had this bird in my care for over a week now as on Monday 31st may i decided it was well enough and let it fly hopeing it will fly back home for it to come back and perch on my roof all night long any help on the ring would be helpful as i have goggled it to no avail thanks aaron

 

 

no under wing markings or numbers just a ring with WRCC 585 im in he Manchester area

Could be a private club or private ring as I cant find any listed organisation with those letters.

Is it a racing pigeon? Might not be. Can you post a photo of it?

 

I know you said you were contemplating starting up, now this bird has got you interested.......this forum is the place to ask questions and find out all about it.

hi all the bird has no markings under its wing only the tag on his leg i have noticed as its flying over it has a few blotches of red blood under its wing now after me letting it out but i carnt get the little bugger back in to have a closer look but yet he happy to hang around and poop all over my newly washed windows i believe that he may possibly be a roller pigeon advised from another website iv asked and read a bit up on but im hopeing to find this bird a new home if i can get him in other wise i may end up getting him in and training him to come in when he told !!!!!!

 

how do i find the private club if it is from there as they are not on the web any help appreciated thanks aaron

hello.i am a member of pill rpc,thought it was one of mine but when i just checked my ring numbers start off at whu2009n00731.got to ring the club sec in the morning about something else will mention the bird to him and get the owner to contact you.hope this helps.paul
