Think Tommy is going to Bude with the I.S.R.F. about 220 mile.

Remember Tommy there are 4 channel races from around this area so dont put all your eggs in 1 basket mate.

Make sure they are spot on, fit and motivated, if not wait till they are, every channel race is different, feed them up and let them go.

Good luck

If your doos are fit, and i mean fit to race, then send them without fear. If you are in any doubt about their fitness, don't send them racing until you are sure you've done YOUR job properly. jmo

bit of a step up from 78 miles mate, how many races they had, is it 220 miles to you? if they are fit enough they will be o.k i expect all my yearlings if healthy and fit, (not latebreds) to fly 336 miles (fougeres).

it was there first race on saturday

its is 220miles i wont them to fly

not saying your birds arnt upto it mate, just a big step up for them from first race 78 miles, to 220 miles across the irish sea, and they will need to be super fit, and built up a bit, then i would personally not send them. but you do what you feel best mate, is there not a shorter race you can get them into first for the experience, and muscle tone?

kevin do you think i shouldnt send them

No Tommy I didnt say dont race them but remember if you think they are not quite ready you have another Bude and 2 sennen coves to get them into, if Saturday was your first race I think its a bit early to jump them into the channel.

But its up to you buddy, good luck.
