This Weeks Racing Pigeon

just seen this on another site would like to say well done to the rp for trying to get the word around that there was a problem

 

 

This weeks Racing Pigeon was printed as normal on Tuesday and delivered to downtons for distribution on Wednesday to be available on Friday morning in the newsagents. The company that supplies the wholesalers is a company called MMC (magazine marketing company) this company has many many other titles on top of the Racing Pigeon. The distribution company downtons have seized at present all the titles and MMC seem to be heading towards administration this afternoon. This has left the Racing Pigeon in an awkward position as we now have to negotiate a new contract with another company that supplies wholesalers so that this weeks copy can be released.

 

Please accept this apology but like many other newspapers and magazines that are in the same position we cannot get the newspaper into the shops until next Tuesday. The Racing Pigeon is in a very strong position in fact its strongest position for 30 years.

 

Alot of people have lost their jobs this afternoon, so we should be thankful of only a 3 day delay for the paper.
