Today I found a pigeon in my back garden sitting almost asleep. The pigeon was very friendly and let me have a look at the tags on its legs.

I read up on the Internet about 'what to do' and followed the instructions given. So some wild bird seed and 2 inches of water went down a treat. The pigeon then jumped on my extension roof and fell asleep for a few hours. Then vanished.

So I'm wondering if this lovely pigeon made it home ok.

There were 2 tags, the yellow tag seemed blank but the black tag was marked.

The tag read: E8381 NWHU 2010

Attached are a few pictures.

Thanks

Andy

big thanks for helping the bird on its way sometimes our birds lose there sense of direction or have been attacked by a hawk and don't have the energy to carry on its people like yourself by giving it a little food and water that will give the bird every chance of getting home

I'm sure by today or tomorrow the bird will be at home

keep looking at the thread though I'm sure the ring can be traced to its owner

big thanks again and well done ;)

Hey thanks dude, thats nice. We are massive animal lovers recently taken in 2 kittens which were dumped by the M4 J5 Langley, also taken on 6 rabbits over 5 years.

If we can help we will.

I'll keep checking this thread/site. Very interested now.

Cheers again

Thank you for caring. If the bird doesn't yet have the strength to make it's way home it may well come back to you for another meal - keep your eyes open! ;)
