I have for sale two Vandenabeele cocks. I purchased these cocks from M & D Evans back end of last year along with two hens. I have bred two rounds each of them and they are obviously untested. The reason for sale is that I have had the pairs as prisoner stock which has driven me mental as not used to it. In the last two weeks both hens from the pair have got out by me so enough is enough. Having just started with the vandenbeeles this year I will probably regret this sale but if I keep them I know the inevitable will happen and they will get out as well. I have included a couple of photos as well as their original peds.

Would like £70.00 each.

if you bought these as yb,s why did you not fly them out,was it the money factor you wanted yb,s from them in case you lost them it backfired on you with the hens, looking at the 2 blue cocks left, should be trying to home them not sell them, you might regret it

Bought them back end then thought to much about the money and losing them! I couldnae decide whether they were to strong or tae try them oot and ended up shutin them in. Am a genuine fella as a said a dont know what they night have left and as you quite rightly point out I might regret it. If they dont go then I will have to keep them in a slightly better arrangement so as to try and keep them in.,

if its only 2,birds your having to confine, thats not hard work to basket them before you let the others out, plus you could leave the basket outside and get them used to the surroundings

Theres loads o things I could dae. I could clip their wings and let them roam the garden but I would still have two spare cocks in a section doin wot spare cocks do. I could shut them in aviary and see if a could heft them(bearing in mind they have never had their liberty ever). The loft that the two hens went frae has an aviary on it which is open all year roon but they barely circled before disappearin. Its wot to do for the best so this is the path I have chosen but if it needs to change then i will be flexible.

did the 2 hens go after you parted them from the cocks, cause this is always a danger time, its happened to me.

They did mate. I had them in a section that I would use to race from. After the second round I wanted my racers ready and tried tae keep them locked in while i got sorted but that didny work as they battered themselves useless on the nest fronts. Then split the hens in to seperate ends wae widowers and took my eye of the ball. My old bo y let the first yin oot forgetting tae put the hens in aviary then me the next week bendin doon tae put the drinker in when they shot oot over my thick heed.

Cheers steven

Hope this is buildin up tae un offer Vander :lol::lol::lol::lol:
