Guest Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Hi Librationed at Maidstone Young Bird National Race. my friend went to the race-point and took some class pictures for us. ;D Regards Speight
snowy Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 great pics speight, i have never been to a liberation, would like to go to one though, it must be great to see so many at one time
cemetary Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 Speight, Some good photos mate, how many pigeons were liberated, and who was the the overall winner on the day, what distance was the winner flying to the loft from the lib point. Cemetary.
alan_smith Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 What great photo's how many birds was ther the most i have ever seen is 5680 This looks a great site, i am very impressed. Alan
fifestay Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 These are great but mebbe you wouldn't like a liberation live ..have been to two or three ...and EVERY TIME two or three Birds copped it from the lowest bays on the Transporter i.e. 3, dead 2, dead and one YB 5 dead. One occasion Birds put in Trading estate Bin ...if they were my Birds i would want to know ...but I was only watching from a distance. Even the above shows how far the bottom tier is pushed down in a panic on LIB
ian_jones Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 Have seen libs all over the country, must have seen 60 plus libs and have never seen any birds killed at the site. that is not to say it never happens we must ave been lucky. What can be done about it, i do not know there will alway have to be crates at the bottom and it can appear to be a disadvantage if your birds are on the bottom row. might be that every club has to take it in turns having there birds on the bottom. IAN
fifestay Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 or i must have been unlucky ...dont know what you can do phased lib, bottom up ? is that fair ...especially on short races. Point is that you may have been waiting on those 2 or 3 ...every chance they came from same club or even same fancier. I'll bet some one has devised something
THE FIFER Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 most modern transporters have split lib,ie bottom 3 then top, etc,
fifestay Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 This wasn't particularly modern no tractor unit quite small ...not far from you fifer
THE FIFER Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 i think fifestay our transporter has 2 lib leavers on it, bottom 3 and top, bottom should always go first, yes i agree there are a lot with just one lib pull, how did the presentation go, sorry i could not make it, would have liked to get some photos for paper,
