Guest shadow Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 I prefer the homing world and is a lot cheaper at 49p
Guest Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Would someone put up the ISBN number for the book please. I think it might be cheaper asking your local book shop to order it direct rather than have to part with £6 for P&P. Heck, you could buy my loft AND pigeons for that!!! ;D

Guest Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Has anybody been reading Fit to win and Born to win Books : Author Dr Wim from South Africa,
Guest Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Speight, came across Fit to Win 1 in the local library. Found it pretty difficult to read because there are bits and pieces on the same subject scattered through the book. Could also do with a lot more pictures / illustrations, or a CD. Westy, came a cropper at the local bookshop - couldn't trace Colin Walker's book, reckoned small publisher / limited distribution!!! > Bit of a business practice rip-off really, just fixes the price - higher. Boddy & Ridewood looking for £40, post paid. Probably try their website. Does anyone else feel that the club should have a small library holding a selection of these type of books - maybe supplied via Unions at cut-price?
Guest Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 One of the best Pigeon Books I have ever read is The Hidden Mysteries of Science and Nature" by Jack Barkel
Peckedhen Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Your local library can get any book for you if you know the author and title or the ISBN number. It costs something like £0.50 to order a book and you can keep renewing it until someone else requests it. A good way to look at a book and see if it's worth buying!
Guest Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 One of the best Pigeon Books I have ever read is The Hidden Mysteries of Science and Nature" by Jack Barkel Linda i tried to get in touch with his brother but don't know where he lives ,one runs for National Flying club and one from sunderland. and I will have to ask jack could he shippment his book to me?
