Guest
Nowhere near as good as the Unikon Clockie
Roundo
Hyacinth, I gather you have used both systems?? with you saying that Unikon is better. I'm sure both systems are just as good as one another, but at the end of the day it's upto each individual what type they use. Roundo. Roundo
Clockman, I've sent you a PM. Regards, Roundo.
Guest
Roundo In fact yes, and I am saying the Unikon is better, because you don't have to take the whole clock to the club, there is a module the size of a ciggie packet which fits into the main clock which can be removed for basketing and knock off. You can still time birds in with the module removed and they will register on the display as soon as you put the module back. I'm just talking from experience here and hope I don't offend. I would also advise against the Benzing Express, not very user friendly and too may keys to play about with.
Guest
In a word Rose No all the club has to use the same clocking system as they all have their own Club Units (used to register the birds at basketing)
Guest
Rose I should have added you can't register birds into a Unikon system using a Taurus club unit and vice versa
Guest
YOU GET A BASE STATION FREE FOR YOUR CLUB WITH UNIKON :)IS IT THE SAME WITH TauRIS ??? DONT WANT TO DRIVE 120 MILES TO FIND OUT :-/
fifestay
The one I would like id the \benzing but not ben passed in scotland ..it is da daddy
andy
ROUNDO, HAVING EXPERIENCED BOTH, ITS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL IF THEY WANT A FORD ESCORT OR A BMW. DIFFERENCE I FOUND WITH THE TWO IS, IF YOU TAKE YOUR UNIKON TIMING DEVICE TO THE CLUB FOR CLOCK CHECKING YOUR LATE PIGEONS REGISTER WITH THE BASE STATION THE TIME THEY ARRIVE, SO WHEN YOU COME HOME YOU POP THE CLOCK INTO THE BASE STATION & IT GIVES YOU THE A.F.T. OF EACH INDIVIDUAL PIGEON, WHEREAS THE OTHER SYSTEMS DONT RECORD TIMES WHEN YOU REMOVE YOUR CLOCK FROM THE BASE. THIS WAS THE WAY IT WAS LAST SEASON, IF THEY HAVE UPGRADED DURING THE OFF SEASON THEN I STAND TO BE CORRECTED, HOWEVER I DRIVE A BMW...... Roundo
Andy, Yes, they have upgraded. This is called the memory module, which is already connected in the loft, and when you take your clock to the club the module will continue to record the birds arrival. Then when you returned all you do is connect your clock back up and this will record the birds that had arrived while you were at the club............simple. This must be very similar to the Unikon system that you use?? Clockman, Yes, you get the base station FOC with TauRIS, plus all the other equipment that the club requires.............well at least that's what my club got and I think it will be the same for others. Hope this helps?? Roundo

Guest
Our Unicon classes the late birds as Trainers, the race data including all birds entered has been wiped off the clock when it is knocked off
