Still trying to decide on that one. Planning on having an ETS system for the young bird races :)

A number of Scottish clubs have recently gone for Tauris, for example Uddingston, which won a grant to equip the full club AND got 'a deal' on numbers.

The only 'plus' I see at the moment is Tauris pad has no blind spots: AND the system has recently been updated according to the previous thread. Wonder when Unikon last updated / will next update i.e. is it keeping up with new developments?

Our Club opted for the TauRIS system.

I'm not saying that it's any better than any other system available, but it was right for us at the time........price, functions etc......

The service that we've had from them has been first class and I know that other clubs who have recently purchased TauRIS have said the same.

Thanks for the replies.

If I were to pick one it would be Unikon, from what I can gather the Tauris system is basic and in order to maintain it to the same spec it becomes more expensive.

Cheers

Just used the unikon system for the first time in a race last weekend ,  just fantastic !!!   Watched for the birds the same as normal but no chasing after them when they went in .

Prior to my Club purchasing the TauRIS systems we compared the specs and the prices of both and found that with the money we had available we were better off going with TauRIS.

This still gave us a full option spec the same as any other system on the market, plus it allowed us to purchase additional club equipment.

The jury is still out on that one even though one of our clubs has just been awarded a grant for it.....

Prelimininary discussions have took place with the Tauris rep and the fiqures he was quoting for the spec to match Unikon was certainly far higher than that quoted in the recent press advertisment. There is a guy I know whom is a member of a club which has has opted for the Tauris system, will see what his feedback is
