Mike Lycett Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Alan I'm hearing the same thing from both Worcester & Wolverhampton Fed (went 15 mins later). Loadsa pigeons missing & massive gaps in em I never like to see or hear of a bad race & I don't like to see pigeons missing - but f&ck me do I feel justified!!!
TheSaddler Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 I've had nearly all my Worcester Fed birds back Mike (2 missing) - Big gaps though!
Guest shadow Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 big gaps in lincolnshire birds I had 2 in 8 mins the rest have been comig all day still 3 missing
Guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Central Oregon RPB Up at 6.30 and 7 from Boise Idaho and 7 from Burns Oregon
Mike Lycett Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Saddler Aye - most still have birds adrift. Thing is - we're talking about 100 miles or so here aren't we. Birds should'nt be struggling. I don't think we've had a "proper bo" race yet this season where you can lock the doors after 15 minutes. Hopefully next week will be different. Took our cocks to work with me at Solihull yesterday afternoon instead & they had a little "dummy race" on their own. Let em go at 14:45 - about 30 mile or so?
johnny11 Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Mike We went at 08-15 and had a superb race the birds toppled in. I spoke to the convoyer and he said our lib and the Liverpool Amal lib (the one after ours) cleared very well the rest of the libs where still not clear after 5 mins. How can different libs on the same day be so different? John
Mike Lycett Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Easy one John - the day is constantly evolving & changing Conditions get worse & they improve
slatey Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 we canceld thus night some have had good some have had iffy. no dout me and the sec will be all the ba****ds under the sun today but thats easy to say on the day. tomo
TheSaddler Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Fair comments Mike - If had Friday off next week I'd have sent to the MCC - Should be a good race- weather permitting. I left some pigeons in the loft this week in case they hit a sticky race - Luckily it was ok. Last year we had one really bad race (the one with all the rain) and that knocked my pigeons right off form. I agree with what you're saying - Its better to be safe than sorry - Especially with a big race just around the corner.. I'm doin 2hrs 2 today - 103.671 miles - Same hen for the last four weeks - Off to the club now - Fingers Crossed..
