Does anyone who was going to enter the non-racer section of the show fancy posting the pics they were going to enter in the show, just for the heck of it?

This was my entry........

He's my young opal bar king that i was given, its not a great picture :P

How does the king get on withe the other pigeons, I heard they were quite dominant

Its the first one i've seen as well.

My kings are quite relaxed not had a problem with fighting. The thing i like about them is that you can catch then with your hands whilst there out in the garden.

Do they not fly well?

They are terrible fliers.. Have only ever had one king fly to the roof and he struggled

I have one or two fly onto the roof of the loft but that's very rare :)

My hen I showed you Steph has always gone out with more agile breeds ever since she was a baby so she automatically does what they do.

She will fly to the roof of the house no problem and the shed roof is a piece of cake for her.

They are, in general, awful flyers though and I can’t see her ever getting up with the homers and doing a circuit in the sky around the shed.

Because she follows the others around all the time she probably doesn’t have as much body on her than your birds.

Bath time earlier in the year!

They look great :)

I think ours dont fly as much because of the weight Mum likes to keep them between 35-37 oz for showing as thats part of the standard :) but not so much fun when you have to carry them in large show baskets that hold 5 :-/

can you send me those pics as I would like to put them on the Young Fanciers site ;D

Hi Guys, I was at Gary Eatons before and when we returned from Leipzeg show. He has some excellent Kings and a few are available to interested people.
