Watched the birds go at 5:30 this morning. A great sight on a fine morning. Have posted a video clip and some pics at http://www.shetlandpigeons.com  Follow the NRCC link off the front page. The video clip is 5.3mb so may take a little time to download - but it's worth it  8)

 

The forecast charts look good and weather was excellent this end.

You're welcome Hyacinth... the distance between the UK mainland and the Shetland Islands is in the region of 150 miles

I heard that Roger Alsworth - Derbyshire, had two at 7 50 pm & 8 10pm yesterday evening. Looks like its been a toughie.

The birds must fly 480 miles of water to the East coast lofts of Lincolnshire

Linda, go directly into the NRCC site and click on the results tab then you can scroll through the list to find Lerwick provisional 2006. (Dont click on the link above)

 

Its been a real hard race, amazing gutsy performance by the winners.
