Guest shadow Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 can a supertoulet clock be used for racing and where would the best place to be to get it serviced,if,i can use it?,,,ted,,,thanks the last I heard was that they have to be registered and not sold on they are trying to do away with them through natural wastage I would look for an stb or somthing more up to date.
Guest Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 think a super toulet maybe classed differently from the wooden cased toulets.the super toulet is a printing clockasopposed to the old wooden cased toulets which are puncturing clocks. i know the wooden cased one had to be registered, but not sure about the super toulet which is metal cased and is a printer
Guest Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 as for having it serviced you might try B. LEEFE & SON
Pompey Mick Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Hi Ted, I,ve got a Super Toulet and B.Leefe serviced mine many years ago, The only trouble is that there are no spares available. They are a fiddly clock to set but give a good clear printout. I haven't used mine for several years now since I got a T3. Incidentally mine was bought new in the early sixties for the Sum of £36.00 which was a lot of money then. I would have thought that purchasing a recon T3 would be a better option as servicing these clocks is not cheap.
westburylofts Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Hi Ted One of our club members uses one and it has let him down on more than one occasion, first time costing him 1st club 1st fed, 1st combine. he sent it away to be serviced and four races later it let him down again. what would i do if i had that clock ( throw it against the wall ) If you take a look at the forsale section on this site there are some clocks for sale. i know two of them are mine but that is not why i am posting. there are also some good clock that come up on e-bay. good luck in sorting yourself out a clock mate ray
NANCYVIEWLOFTS Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 i expect it would cost a lot more to have it repaired /serviced than the clock is worth to be honest we have a member with one and it keeps perfect time as the other members sugest look around for a stb these can be picked up for about 60 -100 pound depending on age and as i said that would be cheaper than repairing the one you have
peterpau Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 We have three supertoulet in our club. Note wrong with the clock if you've got someone who is familiar with setting 'em. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
