I personnally feel the cocks are more determined and work better on the system,while i feel hens are more better natural racing jus a preference no reason why really

my own opinion is that a good cock will beat a hen,,,,but a good hen will beat a cock,,,,i would say race the system that suits you, i found the problem with widowhood hens is not knowing if their going to lay, so would prefer keeping it simple and racing widow hood cocks,, but natural for a hard 5, 600 mile race, when vel. are low,,, widowhood for vel , over 1100 at distance ,    but all depends on the individual pigeon, what it races best to
