Guest TAMMY_1 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 THIS THREAD IS A NEW VERSION OF THE NEVER ENDING STORY BECAUSE SOMEONE WILL COME UP THE NEXT DAY WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE BETTER BUT THERE IS NO GETTING AWAY FROM THE FACT HISTORY SHOWS THERE HAVE BEEN THOUSANDS OF GREAT FLIERS AND IT WILL BE THE SAME IN THE FUTURE AND I DONT THINK THERE IS ANY REAL WAY YOU CAN COMPARE WHAT WAS DONE IN THE PAST AS TO WHAT GOES ON TODAY TWO DIFFERENT ERAS COMPLETELY
Guest Paulo Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 thats it I suppose only way to tell the best is for the best to fly against the best from all over the county which isn't really going to happen is it.
Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Well this is a topic you could debate all year and learn a lot more about fanciers against whom you've never or are never likely to compete against. I can only comment on fanciers on my radar since the mid-nineties competing in the once-great National Flying Club. Fanciers such as Brian Sheppard (1st Open Dax International 2003; 2nd Open Dax International 2004 and 2005); Mark Gilbert (1st Open Dax International 2004; 1st Open Pau/Saintes 2003) readily spring to mind but for consistency from race to race it's hard to find anyone better than Paul Kendal who repeatedly pierces the Top 100 in the results with a smallish team of pigeons! Guest Paulo Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 some of these fanciers are an inspiration to the likes of me that are just starting I only hope that one day I can emulate them. Joing the NFC and competing against the very very best the sport has to offer is one of my career goals in the sport. Still got to learn to walk before you start running through eh lol
