Last week a member of this forum accepted my offer of one of my pigeons - he said that he'd sort Amtrak for Monday.  I waited in all day Monday and most of today. The shpping hasn't been done and the dog not walked!  Amtrak never arrived and, despite this member being online several times, he has not responded to my PMs. So, I guess he no longer wants the bird  :-/. Whatever  happened to common courtesy?  > > >

all they had to say was  they no longer wanted the bird,...id hate it to happen to me.

HAD MUCH THE SAME HAPPEN TO ME,GUY ON HERE WAS ASKING FOR SOME COCK BIRDS,TOLD HIM I COULD LET HIM HAVE SOME HE SAID HE WANTED ABOUT 6,I TOLD HIM YES THAT WOULD BE O.K.HE JUST HAD TO PAY FOR THE CARRIAGE,HE ASKED HOW MUCH WOULD IT BE I SAID ABOUT £25.00 AND TOLD HIM TO RING AMTRACK AND ASK THEM,TOLD HIM TO TELL THEM WHERE THEY WOULD BE COMMING FROM. THAT WAS THE LAST I HEARD FROM HIM NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO TO GET BACK TO ME AND SAY HE DIDN,T WANT THEM.

For one thing read your pm's which i sent you i never told you that i was having them nor did i tell you that i wasn't.

Yes i did  ask what it would cost for them to be collect by amtrak.

your reply was about £25 and to phone them.

 

the following day for most of that day i tryed to contact amtrak but with out look. following day yet again no respond from amtrak.

Hey guys, let it drop....I never intended to start off an argument between others....I was just p***** off that I'd been messed around and wasted my time.

 

I've got over it now, just needed to vent! I think that it's even more galling when you are doing a favour and giving birds away rather than selling them.

 

No need to name and shame, he knows who he is, he's read this thread but, hasn't even responded/apologised in a PM. Grrr.

 

The majority of peeps on this forum are good, genuine guys, there's just the odd few but....that's how it is in the 'real world' too.

phoned amtrack monday ,,no pick up

phoned amtrack tues,,,,,,,no pick up

phoned amtrack wed , they say theres been a mix up, apologised very politely, it seems that there were two pick ups for amtrack and the driver thought this was the only pick up????  they now tell me that they will definately be picked up thurs for a friday delivery,,,, now do you see the bother that could have caused ,, luckily the chap whos sending them knows the score,,and really no probs,,,,,,,24 hour delivery,,,thats 5 days  [that i didnt have to feed the birds ;D ;D ;D]

Hi fellow members. Got the same a member wanted a white cock bird and out of the kindness of my heart i said i will give him 1 for free. So i gave him my address etc waited for amtrak the next day. 6pm came no Amtrak! I phoned the chap that evening his wife took the call said that he was out. Asked could he phone me  she said that he will do. He did not phone. I phoned back the next day his wife took the call and she told me he don't want it anymore. All my time wasted hanging around phone calls etc. This was a chap was in his 40,s he should no better.And if he does this again i will name and shame him in the fancy press etc. The sport can do without time wasters. You wasters no who you are be warned.

No wounder the sport going down the plug hole theirs too many back stabbing go's on.now what would you get out of name and shaming them.?? To Me you would be wasting your time who care that tom dick or harry never collected a bird that he's been given or said that he would buy.At the end of the day its not worth moaning about.
