Currently along with my pigeons I follow our local football team East Fife, who my daughters boyfriend plays for. So without the birds I would go to   games also.

:P Well i am in a similar boat to you INVINCIBLE SPIRIT i was climbing the walls , at a loose end , and started to watch my cousins birds on a sat . I had kept them as a small boy , and got hooked again , now keeping them for 3 years , i would not know what to do with myself if i didnt have them ?  :'(

I would be DIGGING possibly somewhere in the Egyptian or Negev Desert (Israel) Always wanted to be an archaelogist.

If i wasn't racing, i would keep fancy birds to keep and show them...

I'd be thai boxing, boxing, fishing, hill walking and travelling all the time on trips away can always find something to keep me busy

I find it very difficult not having the birds. That is why i go on the computer and read some of your posts. I also watch a lot of football on sky it helps pass the time away.i support Newcastle Utd and that does not help a lot. I think I would still have pigeons if I had worn a mask years ago. You always had a routine and you made yourself stick to that routine if you wanted to win races.I still keep in touch with a lot of fanciers and like to read the results. More clubs should put their results on this site. Cheers, Alf R

i think once pigeons are in your blood its very difficult to just put them out your mind, ive become a wee bit iffy health wise , but get as much enjoyment with me little 8 by 6 loft and 8 by 6 aviary, and giving the ybs away free each year,, its lovely to get a pm or phone call to see that one has won,or been placed, that does me fine.

If you need any tips on building a koi pond John, you only need to ask

my brother in law,,,just retired, never worked with wood in his life, went to night school and learned about wood sculpture , hes made the most beautifull carved owl , off course ive now given him photos of pigeons and even the trophie of the pigeon ,[the one with the indents and markings] so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with, but its another time and patience game, but must admit to be taken aback with his owl :) :) :) [ ill see i i can get a pic sometime of it]
