Fish do. Like the Mubuna (Rift valley lakes) you can control the off spring too by hardening or softening the water.

The Community fish like Guppys / sword fish especially will breed then if need be change sex. Gully's are - like some others are born pregnant, and their young too... so 3 generations if need be are safe guarded.

Well here's the boring science stuff, good for the pub quiz night, :)

Mammals and birds share common ancestors, reptiles.

Humans in the womb and birds in the egg share reptilian features. For example humans start with (fish) gills which develop into something else. (Reckon that's what makes us men such fine drinkers down the pub.  ;D  ) Birds as I've posted elsewhere, have a part-reptilian and part-mammalian kidney.

ALL ANIMALS WHEN FIRST CONCEIVED ARE FEMALE GENDER. ITS A CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE THAT ACTS ON THE GROWING FEOTUS THAT TURNS IT INTO A MALE. SOMETIMES THAT PROCESS GOES WRONG AND THE ANIMAL AFTER BIRTH HAS BOTH MALE AND FEMALE GENITALS, OR REVERTS OR CONVERTS FROM ONE GENDER TO THE OTHER..

Can't for the life of me recall where I've read it, but there are recorded cases in pigeons. Think it would be cock back to hen, because cock has two testes and two 'tubes' while hen has only one ovary and one oviduct. At conception 'She' started out with 'two somethings'. If its to be a cock, his will develop into two male organs. If it remains female, then one of hers will 'die off' and the other will develop into a single ovary and oviduct.

Must be worth a pint at least  ;D
