Guest
hi i feed a high protein farm mix from court farm hereford, i find their corn is very clean and is a very reasonable price...25kg at £6.60...which in fact a local seller buys from there and i have hardly any travelling to get it. other then that i used to use bucktons till they went to 20kg bags. most of the flyers in my club use this farm...1 buys a ton of beans at a time. court farm feeds will be at the welsh show this sunday. Guest TAMMY_1
Good farm corn and mormflake groats plus bucktons maize fancy brand names mean nothing just good corn at a decent price. SPOT ON HERE SAME AS EVERYTHING YOU PAY EXTRA FOR A NAME AND IT IS NO BETTER THAN THE GOOD QUALITY FOOD AVAILABLE, ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR BRANDS DOING WELL UP HERE IS COUNTRY WIDE, VERY REASONABLE PRICED , CLEAR BAGS SO YOU SEE EXACTLY WHAT IS IN THEM AND THIS BRAND IS ENDORSED BY PONDEROSA STUD AND I HAVE USED IT THE LAST COUPLE YEARS WHEN RACING
Guest
ur right tammy...some of these big name corn speciallists get corn from these farms..all we do is cut out the middle man saving £,s on a bag of corn. beans i buy are around...£4-£4.50 a bag..25kg...but i do get some beans in locks garage hereford..@ £3.75 a bag..which is slightly less better quality then the previous prices.peas there are same price and sometimes can be as low as £3 a bag...winter time...french maize..£5 a bag 25kg......paul
Marky5
Versele Laga mainly throughout the year.
superstar
Bought a ton of Versele Laga with a mate of mine from swainstons this year and cant see it was any better than the corn from the aforementioned COURT FARM of Sutton-st-Nicholas, HEREFORD. Excelent stuff from there I must say. P.S if you read this Richard I want a free bag of breeder at least hahaha as it is technically spamming : ;D
ACE LOFTS
versele laga the ic range
markbrown
We used Teurlings this last season.. To be honest i have used most mixes in the past - think Teurlings is a fantastic range/mix and birds performed really well?? winning on land/channel old or young.. Well worth looking at, bit pricey but definately worth it in my eyes??
NANCYVIEWLOFTS
we like to use different brands of corn especially in the closed season we look at the different mixtures and select the one we think is the best quality and make up for us corn even from the top suppliers comes in different batches and are not always of the same standard its like buying fruit for instance you may go to the same market stall every week but some weeks the quality isnt as good so you go to the next stall be selective then it will make the suppliers try harder to sell you their brand of corn
Wiley
well when ya live in london its very hard to get to these farms unless you fancy a good old drive, and only being 17 i cant do that yet!
Guest anthony
I used to feed Natural standard for the evening feed, now I have changed to Bayers racing. When you compare them to each other they are very identical, the price is a little bit less.pigeons still doing good
jimmy white
noticed b4 that the widowhood mix i was feeding had no tic beans in it,, but mix on the transporter had beans in it, so allways made sure the widowhood cocks had beans at times,,,in case of hold over, they would eat what was given to them
Chris Little
Verselle Laga Quite like the IC ranges
Guest Gareth Rankin
Yes most of the time it will be Verselle Laga Range, but throughout the year we will have used most brands if we like the look of it, but we always revert back to Verselle Lage range as it is the most consistant year after year. kev01293
i always use versele laga as its the only brand that ive found to be 100 per cent in terms of quality, ive found that other brands have contained some mould and weevils in them so prefer to pay the extra for versele laga kev
