jimmy white Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 ive heard tony that if you put it on adamp hession bag covered by another , in the heat of the house, it should sprout in no time , but have noticed that pigeons dont seem to like any damp grain , but when theve germinated [a big word from me ;D]seems that its good for them

Guest rodders Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Yes, I started to use it, but then realised that the birds sometimes drink the bathwater and I didnt know what it would do to their insides? I thought it might kill off any healthy gut bacteria - does anyone know? D.D. i have used for years and was told if have a sore throat gargle with it so should be able to use to wash wounds as was told its slightly antiseptic dont worry about pigeons drinkig it iv never had any probs unless u use to much then will dye and burn feathers

square_peg Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Pigeons are dead simple things and they like dead simple people who love them to bits and look after them and when they do(o) it is a lot easier to get them to come home in the dark from france after flying for 15 or 16 or amazingly sometimes after 17 hours on the wing!! Guest anthony Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 Always sprout grains in a glass container never a metal one unless it is stainless steel.Has any body used viola tricolor,it is called Wild Pansy as well?I read this on a book by old hand,he says it is good for the haert.I never saw this flower maybe it does not grow over here
