Guest TAMMY_1 Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 WELL I WOULD SAY YOU GOT YOUR MONEYS WORTH THERE
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 They all look good bargains if you go by pedigree,s and performances, but i would imagine that these birds will be used for stock perposes,so until they have actually bred winners themselves cant see how they can be bargain,s,only the one Wings mentioned.

swilcox Posted November 28, 2006 Author Report Posted November 28, 2006 Tony If its got it in him, Nigel will bring out dont worry about that.
Guest Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Stu, I was very lucky back in 2002. I went to Micky Collins in Birmingham to see his birds, I had heard he had quality. I had £100 on me, Micky had birds very close to 'the tree', in the end he gave me a choice of 5 cocks, I must admit I didn't know much about continental strains and still don't but as you will have guessed I put my eye glass on them and picked out a blue cock. Micky wasn't too impresed with him cause he had only been 19th section from Saintes in the NFC that year. The pigeon it turned out is a grandson of Gysylbrecht's Barcelona winner and I found out from Dr Carlo the following year that the parents had been called back from Micky to Dr Carlo's lofts and had bred Barcelona national pigeons in the first 200 after they had gone back to Dr Carlo in consecutive years and I have Dr carlo's e mail now saying that they are one of his best breeding pairs at present, and I rate my cock very highly. He is on loan at the moment to a top distance flier
jimmy white Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 some years ago i managed to get[louella all fair auction] a daughter off starview leo ,,[ nat winner , when paired to a daughter off john james [nat winner] for £50,, but unfortunately bred nowt
swilcox Posted November 29, 2006 Author Report Posted November 29, 2006 Mick Had excellent pigeons Albear, the following two are now in my breeding loft and are to be blended with our dutch pigeons. Both pigeons are proven racer/breeders and can only add to our already strong family!!! Stuart
Guest Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Stu, they lok super birds.........I see on another post you have Ludo Claesens birds. When I looked at the Mike Ganus site a few years back I saw them for the first time and I reckon they are the finest birds I have seen, (obviously by eye) they are fantastic, no wonder as your post said they fetch big money. I was very impressed with Micky obviously a top top fancier
birdman55678 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 In dollars how much would "£50" be. thanks. Ed
