Also keep feeding them the same. look good to me. People for get that showing weight is diff from racing weight. No judge wants to handle a too keely bird. Also its through wires so no need to change. Just a good tonic in water 2 days before show and the seed too

A fat pigeon is not what is required through the wires, they need to be on the edge slightly to catch the eye. I know they dont need to be racing weight and hyper but I'm sure Phillips himself will agree they are far too heavy in the hand as they even look it. I know pic's can be deceiving but not that much I doubt. At the end of the day only the man whos pigeons they are can decide what he wants to do with them and the more opinions the more ideas he has to work with. Birds are a credit though and his hard work shows through in the health and condition thats for sure. Hope my opinion didn't cause any offence but just being honest!

No no offence. I am just advising that somtimes when judging through wires you can see a skinny bird does not look like it has balance in the hand and the main thing is the balance of the pigeon. And yeah your right they can look to fat but its harder too tell to fat than it is too skinny. Its just getting the correct wieght for size and then the balance thats all.

The top 2 pics [blue bars] are by far the best, give abit of conditioning seed, few peanuts, brewers yeast, cider vinegar, garlic, lemon juice, beans,[the list is endless],all things used in moderation to induce show condition, you will in time find your own "winning combination" of the above and probably other things besides. One thing to remember though is that you never use depurative to induce show condition, you use it to break down birds after a show definately not before, and remember clean feet and rings, good luck :)
