I would say between a dark purple and red.  It's pretty easy to distinguish from a normal pearl eye.

There are only 2 colors of the eye.  White and Yellow.  The violet you are refering to is actually white.  Remember the true color lays beneith the Iris. Ed

I think that a violet eye is a white eye with the circle of adaptation and the breeding ring being some shade of blue which can vary but always a shade of blue.

Such a shame he is no longer with us.... but has left a wealth of pure genius in the eyesign theory... after all that is juat what it exactly is, no more or less, ust a theory. But Bob must have come closer than any one with great nowledge in this field than just about anyone els. JMO,... AS I am not a believer!

Roland for a non believer you seem to be well versed and even posted a web site for Flemming, seems to me you might just be a believer at heart and not just willing to admit it.  In my opinion eyes are not the main tool but just one of very many tools you can use.  Those that choose not to use it just lose one more key that is at their disposal.  Good day.  Ed

Well birdman, was a time when my brother, as a very young baby, was sent home from Great Ormond street hospital to die, as there was nothing they could do. He couldn't keep any nourishment down, milk etc. Was an hermit that lived in the wilds  near Sidcup London that my father contacted as a last hope. This was 1946. The hermit told him that for 4/5 years just feed him Rhubard juice, and sometimes the odd stout. My mother enquired with the doctor as to his oppinion. His reply was startling 'Gypsies can cure a lot doctors can't'! The locals  donated much Rhubard and preserved it for him.

Needless to say the hermit was 100% right and Great Ormond street started using Rhubard. So I would never write anything off dismissively, even whether I thought the value was next to nothing. And nature puts the wise man to shame every day.... but I am not in the least convinced, and like you say, I look into much.

Staffy you are now showing your true novice form.  A gold or green eye is just a yellow eye.  You need to just look at the base color beneith the iris.  I gold or green looking eye is in all actuality a yellow eye.  Good day.  Ed
