paul l Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 how dose a partnership work in pigeon racing dose the partner have to live near u or can they be some were else in the country and what are the benifits of it or down side of it can people explain and is it worth it doing it this way or going it alone thanks paul l
pigeonscout Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 If you get a partner that lives 50 miles from you, who will come up every morning hamper the birds clean the loft take the birds the 50 miles back home with him and let them off and all you have to do is sit in you garden drinking a bud waiting on them coming home then go for it take him on.
westy Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 in a partnership the other half could be the breeder while you look after the birds or vice versa and you split the winnings in half at the end of the season, im in a partnership with my dad we just both look after them or if im not there he will and vice versa.

swilcox Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 I have spent the last 3 years in two different partnerships and both were good freinds, being in partnerships puts a tremendous strain on both parties especailly when expectations are different. This is compounded when you turn at some one elses house every morning at 5.30am!!!!!! For me i have treid it and i just dont think its for me!!!!! Stuart
Ronnie Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 good point Stuart, youve got to remember that half the decisions are yours but the other half that arnt you may not like. Its a real case of give and take. The overall advantage i can see is the cost is half.(Unless youve got twice as many birds)
bluey Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 In any partnership there has to be a Boss. If it works Good; if not try something else. When I raced as a teenager my Bro was the Boss and did I not know it. ??)
swilcox Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Now Raymond is the perfect partner, he races his birds and i race mine!!!!! Yet we share a very strong gene pool, in fact i think together we have the strongest gene pool in Europe, 43 1st National, NPO and combine winners up to 52,000birds. The pressure will be on for me to get results now im on my own but its sure to take a couple seasons!!!! When i was talking about partners i was referring to the two i have had in the UK. Stu
bluey Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Just a joke. You and Raymond are top blokes.
