Vila Real de Santo António, foi palco nos dias 29 e 30 de Dezembro de 2006, da Exposição Distrital de Pombos-Correios (Standard e Sport), que teve lugar no Pavilhão Municipal, onde foram seleccionados os pombos que vão representar o Distrito de Faro, na Exposição Nacional que se realiza em Beja, nos dias 11 a 14 de Janeiro de 2007, da qual será apurada a Selecção Nacional para as Olímpiadas, a realizar nos dias 26, 27 e 28 de Janeiro de 2007.
