Guest Vic Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 422, yes FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY TWO resignations from the NFC. Does this mean that fanciers think that channel racing will be thwarted once again, by the vast expenditure that the E.E.C. have committed themselves to? Greenpeace are worried about about certain PLANTS, So am I? ;D ;D ;) Vic.
friendsloft Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Vic I dont think it is just the channel racing being curtailed, but when you read the pigeon papers there seems to be a lot of unrest between the members and officials in office.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 WE KNOW ALL ABOUT THAT IN LANARKSHIRE WITH THE UNREST AMONG OUR OFFICIALS
Guest Vic Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Officials? who ever gave them the Gold chains in the first place? I've always thought it so amusing. Yet many of em have toured the world at our expense. REPRESENTING THE CLOTH CAP BRIGADE so to speak. There are still one or two "SOCIAL CIRCLE CLUBS" still in existence by the way. The very name, "SOCIAL CIRCLE" surely betrays the rank and file image of normal pigeon flyers. No wonder the game is in such a mess, whilst they amuse each other with before/or/after dinner speeches. :(
friendsloft Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Vic as you are know you have to be invited to join the social circle, and this only happens if you are well off own your own company etc,the rest of us dont get the chance friendsloft
Guest Vic Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 About time somebody blew the B-------s up eh? ;D ;D ;D
friendsloft Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Vic in a secret society you never find out who is pulling the strings friendsloft :X
blackjack Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Hello i think the reasons for the 400+ resignations were down to very poor management of the club by the committee thier are a certain group who think they know best look at the farce of the transporter bought on lend lease it will never be owned . A shocking decision that still is being kept secret the exact details are still not known and the dreadful treatment of the secretary by the same clique who bought the transporter was a disgrace to the club Sid deserves a hell of a lot better. Yes funnily enough most of the aforementioned group are members of UN social circles just look at the Lancs SC great fanciers like Jack Cropper, Martland Bros ,Albert Barton kept out because they were not from the right social group .Also the treatment of flyers like Dick Baldwin who were forced to resign for speaking thier minds and being honourable by the way Dick was asked to rejoin but he told them straight no.Thats why a great club is in such a way apart from John Wills their is precios little any honour left.
friendsloft Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 blackjack, any sign of trouble, you will find these people have a lot of followers on their side, are mouth pawns if you like, you dont see them from one meeting to another, unless they are needed for a crucial vote, then they turn up put out of the woodwork in their droves, hey presto the vote goes in their favour, they then dissappear until needed again friendsloft
swilcox Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Well i agree Vic The NFC needs to feel the cold wind of change, they have let too many of its core members down. Stuart
Guest Vic Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Stu, How about £50 subs for 2008? It will keep the riff raff away, and let them all parade in their evening suits and bow ties, before taking their mouth lozenges and you know what. Too many clever arses in this game nowdays. :( :( Exploiting it to the plebs limits. :( :( Vic.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Vic as you are know you have to be invited to join the social circle, and this only happens if you are well off own your own company etc,the rest of us dont get the chance friendsloft I THINK YOU HAVE GOT IT ALL WRONG AS I AM A MEMBER OF LANARKSHIRE SOCIAL CIRCLE AND ALL I DID WAS PUT A LETTER
Guest Vic Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Wings! There are obviously big differences, between Lanarkshire and Lancashire "Climbs". Social Circle clubs down this way, have been frowned upon, for many years. Yet they still have the gall, to embarrass us all. >
Guest WINGS 04 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 LANARKSHIRE S C IS A CLUB FOR MEMBERS THAT LIKE THE LONGER RACES AND HAS SOME GOOD PRIZE MONEY AND POOLS AND IT IS ONLY 8p A BIRD IN MOST THE INLAND RACES AND 30p A BIRD FOR THE LONGER RACES WITH THE MEMBERS ONLY ALLOWED TO WIN ONE SHARE OF POOLS THERE IS A 4 BIRD NOM AND A LOFT POOL I THINK IT IS THE BEST CLUB IN LANARKSHIRE THERE ARE SOME OTHER THINGS THAT YOU CAN ENTER LIKE THE YEARLING NOM ONE OF EACH OPPOSITE SEX AND THE BREEDER BUYER AND THE EXCHANGE
DECKY Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 I HAVE APPLIED TO JOIN THE LANARKSHIRE SOCIAL CIRCLE . MY INTENTIONS ONLY TO FLY IN THE LONGER RACES. I DID NOT GET IN EVEN THOUGH I AM SITTING FURTHEST NORTH WEST AND WOULD BE FLYING THE FURTHEST. MY FRIEND WHO FLIES IN THE CLUB IS SITUATED 500 YARDS FROM ME. I KNOW THE OFFICIALS OF THE CLUB WOULD WELCOME ME IN IN A MINUTE, ( BECAUSE THEY ARE DECENT OUT AND OUT DISTANCE FLIERS ) BUT THERE WERE SOME FANCIERS WHO TURNED UP AT THE A.G.M. JUST TO OPPOSE MY APPLICATION. YOU MAY THINK I MUST HAVE RUBBED SOMEONE UP THE WRONG WAY FOR THIS TO HAPPEN, BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE. I STILL DONT KNOW THEIR REASONS FOR VOTING AGAINST ME. THIS CLUB WAS SUPPOSEDELY FORMED FOR DISTANCE FLIERS AND TOOK IN A MASSIVE RADIUS TO ACCOMODATE THESE SPECIALISTS, BUT SADLY NOT NOW AS I THINK THE SPRINT MEN ARE TAKING OVER THE CLUBS IDENTITY. I AM ONLY WANTING TO COMPETE AGAINST SOME OF THE BEST DISTANCE FLIERS IN SCOTLAND AND I CANNOT.
Pompey Mick Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 does anyone know the resignations per section, I know that a lot of local Section B members have called it a day especialy after the Chale decision when only approx five members in the Section flew further than 40mls.
blackjack Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Yes Chale was a short fly to sect b but look how often the Cornish boys get a 0.5mls to 40ml race if anything goes wrong they are always the wipping boys yet nobody says anything in thier defence.
Guest Vic Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 LANARKSHIRE S C IS A CLUB FOR MEMBERS THAT LIKE THE LONGER RACES AND HAS SOME GOOD PRIZE MONEY AND POOLS AND IT IS ONLY 8p A BIRD IN MOST THE INLAND RACES AND 30p A BIRD FOR THE LONGER RACES WITH THE MEMBERS ONLY ALLOWED TO WIN ONE SHARE OF POOLS THERE IS A 4 BIRD NOM AND A LOFT POOL I THINK IT IS THE BEST CLUB IN LANARKSHIRE THERE ARE SOME OTHER THINGS THAT YOU CAN ENTER LIKE THE YEARLING NOM ONE OF EACH OPPOSITE SEX AND THE BREEDER BUYER AND THE EXCHANGE Wings, Surely the figures you quote are not up to date? Quite amazing. Surely there is a £1 missing somewhere? Vic.
