martin dunks Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 wildys cant be pure ; look at his 1978 sales list the birds are a mix of every strain under the sun[ matthys ,cattrysse ,van der espt, kellens ,haelterman, ] the list goes on
Beanz Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 teh question fanciers should be asking is whats in a strain, after all its just a name they are not all good anes whatever the strain, however in this country we seem to have a fascination for names, oh and I include myself in that, it should be winner to winner whatever the strain but we don't, I do put winner to winner but usually of the same strain.
Guest Paulo Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 I don't rate them personally my dad had a few before he got the busschaerts including a direct daughter of kleine bliksem that he paid a lot of money for and they did nowt. However there are good and bad in every strain so no doubt other fanciers will do extremely well with them. Frans was at Ostende and had a stand at the show looks like he has moved on to long distance now or fond as they call it in Belgium
Guest CS Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 no strain is pure 100% Correct, mate.

Guest MBpigeonguy Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 what is a spaniard(if i spelled it right) pigeon becouse on of my pigeons, his mothers side is all speniard imports.?
Marky5 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Yeah you are correct Paulo 100 per cent Frans Van Wildermeersch has moved onto extreme long distance up to barcelona , Narbonne , Pau etc with Roger Florizone , gyselbrecht and Devos pigeons. He still has some of the old lines but not many now , more crosses than ever also a touch of Vandenabeele in them.
NANCYVIEWLOFTS Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 there like any other {STRAIN OR NAME} get the right ones and they are devastating get the wrong ones of any {STRAIN OR NAME} and there rubbish we have a few and they fly well for us we have them off porter/richardson brian leadbeater jim smith all darks and cheques
