Ian McKay Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Hi Roland NOW this will spark the ETS debate. Could get a Pad set close to the race point lol Now calm down this is meant to be a joke ! ! Interesting post but I like it. Ian
Guest Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Hi Roland, guy was in renewing my central heating pump yesterday and noticed what was in the back garden asked what I kept there. (Pigeons .. the wife is in the shed next to it ;D ) He then told me that this story had been in yesterdays Mail, said that the pigeon 'was told' where to go. Makes you wonder about the homing theories doesn't it? Or is it just a case of that part of the brain controls the right wing and the other the left so we'll just fire a few volts in there and get it to turn right ... into some building ;D

pigeonscout Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 If we can track or pigeons in flight using satellite and now we can control their flight we will be racing pigeons like racing model air planes.

Guest Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 One of the pieces did say that there was no 'scientific' application for this technology. Reminds me of the research project yonks ago about standing bath water?? Scientists watched how a bath of water emptied down the plug-hole and came to the conclusion if the bathwater stood for X amount of time, it would drain away in a clockwise whirlpool over the plug hole, but if it had stood for Y amount of time is would drain away in an anti-clockwise direction. Always wondered what would happen to the soap?? ;D ;D

If you live north of the equator it drains in a clockwise whirlpool and if you live south of the equator it drains down anti clockwise. It has to do with the way the earth spins
