Guest
I was told once that yellows were from silvers crossed with reds but I don't know that for sure.

Guest Vic
Iv'e never seen yellows so red. A true yellow is a different colour altogether.
Guest
Often wondered what a yellow was, first saw them advertised by LPW and saw some of them at Blackpool ... these were just as photos here, washed-out red colour. Now I wonder ... do they race and race well or are they just for show?
jimmy white
i had a nice yellow hen , flew reasonable, mated it with a show racer powder blue cock ,, bred a yellow hen that won in most local and fed shows racing classes ;D [flew 129 mies] ;D it was a real stunner,,,to look at ;D louella breeds loads of these or used to anyway, yellow kirkpatricks,,,,for racing agree with vic ,, about the colours
Guest beautyhomer
To clear up the confusion about yellows, genetically there are two different ways to get a yellow pigeon. As in Dave A's case they are a combination of Ash red and dilute which as bruno says give a washed out appearance. The other way is a combination of recessive red(chocolate to you racing fanciers) and dilute which will give you the more intense solid yellow colouring. Ronnie
Not to be rude but they just look like light reds to me. Ive never seen a yellow though
THE FIFER
in the pigeon world colours are not what u normally see, have u really seen a yellow pigeon, (SAME COLOUR AS A BANNANA) or a red (SAME AS A TOMATOE), the cock in the photo is a yeliow KIRKPATRICK, as in the pigeon world, for colours.
