Chatrace Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Go for it, you can set it up and when they see how nice it is ,maybe more will invest.
Pompey Mick Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 There is nothing stopping you using it for training, and if you are supplying the club equipment you should be able to use it in the club, I think the system is self setting time-wise.
Poacher Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 No club official can stop anyone using ETS it is now an approved clocking method for pigeon racing in ENGLAND

Ian Gill Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 No club official can stop anyone using ETS it is now an approved clocking method for pigeon racing in ENGLAND Surely the ETS is approved for everyone who flies under RPRA rules ??
sapper756 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 PAGE 106 BHW THIS WEEK ARE OFFERING CLUB SYSTEM FREE TO CLUBS. ALSO BELIEVE THIS TO BE THE CASE, THAT UNIKON WILL SUPPLY CLUB EQUIPMENT FREE.
Beanz Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 ETS is only approved from July 2007 in England, as all the rules for use still have to be worked out.
Guest Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Well there seems to be moves afoot to try and sabotage it. The original post is very like the letter in this week's BHW 'I'm the ??? and I 'll not be setting or reading any ETS clocks; also read Vic's thread 'ETS' where some RPRA person has said its not compulsary if you have less than X members; and another poster in Vic's thread 'unless you are disabled, our club will not allow you to use it. Sad start ?
Guest slugmonkey Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Part of the beauty of ets is how easy it is to use you only set time once at beginning of season you enter all birds in the computer, and then load them and the race schedule on the module, activate bands, and you are done for the year On race day you simply turn clock to race mode, then enter birds, print sheet and go to next guy they are loaded faster without rubbers, no searching through bad handwriting for the number or worrying it is written wrong At first some members will act like it is complicated and a big mystery as well as being very difficult IT IS NOT I took over as race secretary this year and had to load all the birds and build the database myself it took me about 30 minutes to figure it out with no manual I have loaded 7 members and about 500 birds in about 2 hours as well as activated the bands for these birds
Guest CS Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 our clubs aplied for the lottery grant to buy ets will be great if we get it me and my pillow will spend more time together all clubs chould apply for a grant they can only say no nowt to loose Hope you get the grant.
