Guest Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 In North East Counties, approximately 2000 - 2500 birds a week, with Old Birds its Small & Nisbett of Silksworth, who have been flying phenomally well for the past 5-6 seasons, bird of the year in the UNC, and several close calls to topping the UNC also! With youngsters it was Barnes, Sons & G/son. Joe, his two sons Lee and Ian, and his g/son Steve had 5 or 6 Fed wins last year, even topped the Section three weeks on the trot, Section 4 UNC, estimated 7 - 8000 birds a week. Their young bird season was the best I've witnessed in my time in pigeons. They only have a small race team and a Stock team of only ten pairs! They do OK with old birds too and have also been close to topping the UNC several times. Both partnerships mentioned are Top fanciers from an extremely competitive club! tubbles Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 My club 20 bird limit J McLaughlin rules roost and in the Federation Jones & Thomas have been winning here for past few seasons Eddy Bateman was also a contender last year in Federation. Federation has no limit and some members sent 90-odd birds some weeks and couldn't beat Jones & Thomas most times, the partnership split the team to race in two feds last year and still won well. But, this year who knows........ me
Guest Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Jones & Thomas cracking flyers and nice blokes as well. Eddie had a few good wins on the channel didnt he?
