I would love to train today, lovely sunny day, but I have to work, and tomorrow and Saturday :-/

Guest CS Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Ben, Old birds don't need more than 5 or 10 tosses.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Some different ones back at Edinburgh again, about 40 miles
jimmy white Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 remember ben its a long season,, those that have patience will win the longer races ,, but being 14 youll be as keen as mustard ,, so wish you really well
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 mine will not have thirty tosses in the full season
jimmy white Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 my thoughts on training is that they should be trained for the races required of them,, training early will may be win you the first race or two , where really there should only be seconds in it,, , i would much prefer to dabble away with a half dozen birds or so, for the first 4 races ,,then set out the" a," team ;D ;D ;D in the middle or end of may, , i wouldnt hesitate sending them straight from the loft in the best of weather to 150 miles ,,first race,,but they would be fit at home,,,, an old saying by david parkinson,,,,,",races are won at home" ;D ;D ;D think about it ;D ;D ;D,, any way all the best to all you guys , its a lovely day here in the lothians ,, plenty batches shooting over , theres a nice wee , s,w breeze,,and lovely blue sky ,,,,,,,,long may it continue ;D ;D ;D
